From Competitor to Coach – Master Karl’s Journey
Master Karl led our team from its earliest days to championship dominance, with decades of competition experience and winning flag runs.
Now, he focuses on mentoring the next generation—from tiny dragons to adult black belts—passing on the principles that made him a champion.

Every year, Widnes Martial Arts takes part in multiple tournaments across the UK and beyond—from Scotland and Europe to the World Championships themselves.
We’ve taken teams to events in the Netherlands, Scotland, and Germany, and this year we’re proud to be attending the UK Nationals, the European Championships, and more.
Master Karl continues to travel internationally as a respected tournament judge and mentor, proudly representing Widnes on the global stage.
